DALLAS - Carol Forsloff - Governor Rick Perry wrote a book called Fed Up where he discusses how the federal government has too much regulation and Texas can do business better, but not according to Amazon who is fed up and moving out.
Irving, Texas is the main distribution center in Texas. It is closing, according to news reports, because it is in a sales tax dispute with the State of Texas. The state billed Amazon $269 million for four years of purchases by Texas residents. All that talk about no taxes, apparently wasn't true.
When Amazon closes its center in Texas, 1000 jobs will be lost to Texas
So much for Rick Perry's bragging and boasting and Fox touting Texas, when a giant company closes its doors to Texas that's a big statement for the Lonestar State that will be a lot more lonely soon with all those jobs moving away.
